Car Reveal Video

BlenderCyclesDaVinci Resolve

Overview

I produced this video using Blender and DaVinci Resolve for the STEM Racing I was a part of, Silverstone Revolution Racing. The CAD models were created by the team, which I used, along with lights and cameras in the Blender environment. All keyframing and animating was done in Blender, then colour graded in DaVinci Resolve for final export.

Environments

The environments are sets for the 3D models. They allow you to place objects as you would in real life, then light them and position cameras for absolute realism. For this project, I used two environments in order to create a more engaging video. The second, trackside environment gave me something to make fast edits to, which also reminds the viewer what the car would look like in a race.

These renders of the environments show how much difference the DaVinci Resolve colour grading made to the raw Blender output.
